Pitt Meadows lies within a temperate oceanic climate zone, situated in the low-lying Fraser Valley east of Vancouver where the Pitt and Fraser rivers converge. Winters are mild and persistently wet, with average temperatures ranging from approximately 1°C to 7°C between December and February. Snowfall occurs but is typically light and short-lived at valley floor elevations, though Arctic outflow events channelled through the Fraser Valley corridor can bring brief periods of sharper cold, freezing temperatures, and occasionally freezing rain. Rainfall dominates the winter months, with the surrounding mountains contributing to elevated precipitation totals across the region.
