Pemberton sits in a broad glacially carved valley northeast of Whistler and experiences a transitional continental climate, sheltered enough from Pacific moisture to receive considerably less precipitation than the Coast Mountains immediately to its west, yet cold enough in winter to accumulate reliable snowfall.
