Port Mellon, BC

Port Mellon is a small unincorporated community situated on the eastern shore of Howe Sound, in the southern portion of British Columbia's Sunshine Coast. It lies within the Sunshine Coast Regional District and is accessed primarily via Highway 101, which connects it to the nearby town of Gibsons roughly eight kilometres to the northwest. Although Port Mellon sits geographically close to Metro Vancouver, it is separated from the city by Howe Sound and is accessible from Vancouver by BC Ferries service from Horseshoe Bay to Langdale, placing it approximately one hour from the Lower Mainland when travel time and ferry crossing are combined.
