Strata council meeting minutes are the official record of strata council meetings and any general meetings of a BC strata corporation, as required by the Strata Property Act, SBC 1998, c. 43. Owners and prospective purchasers commonly review the last two years of minutes to understand issues such as pending special levies, ongoing maintenance concerns, insurance claims, bylaw disputes and financial matters. Minutes must be provided to owners and, on written request, to prospective purchasers subject to prescribed fees. A buyer's licensed REALTOR® typically requests the last 24 months of minutes during subject-removal.
